Here is a thought to put in your head...or it may just come out your ear...
I have this theory that there is a demon...no wait... I have a theory that people resigned to live out their work days in cubicles begin to think that there isn't another world beyond those three and a half, cushioned, dark green walls. Sure you try to make it better with pictures of friends, or perhaps drawings of made up friends ( like Bobbert, and Stanley). I myself tried to bring this hole I sit in now some Christmas spirit, by hanging paper snowflakes on my walls. I haven't felt the spirit here...Maybe its late eh?
I have seen my coworkers go about their work day..And the most exciting thing to them is a new item on e-bay...Or a funny e-mail from one of those "outsiders" or, as I like to call them, the "non cubies".
I start to feel like a drone...Just going about my day like I did the day before...and the day before that...and so on. There is the occasional chatting between "cubies". Such as "Hi, how was your Christmas?" or " Hey, did you see this speaker set on e-bay?" But for the most part...Nothing real earth shattering going on.
Then it dawned on me. My computer is my only link to the outside world! I have no other way of communicating to normal people, unless I do it as I am now...Through the computer. The computer seems a little scary to me now. What if it is making me rely on it on purpose?! Have you ever found yourself connected to a computer..and then just when everything is dandy...it breaks down! Or freezes up! Well, then you go through withdrawals..don't you dare admit that you dont! you start to feel...cut off. Like the thing that kept you together is somehow now missing since you cant visit Jamesmarsters.com, or surf e-bay for some old collectors idem. You are alone...no e-mail, no blog, no friends (but Bobbert and Stanley).
That is how they get you. That's right THEY! They are the ones fooling you into thinking that you need that computer. They are the ones making you need to see updates on websites, new items on e-bay! They are the ones there in your cubicle...the only link to the outside world!!!!!!!! Who are they you ask??? Not really sure, but when I find them I will let you know..then there will be a time for payback!
Or you know, I could very easily be insane and this is the only way to entertain my poor bored head.
So if work gets to you a little..like it obviously does me...comment, or don't... Becky will. This blog is my only link people!!!! Don't leave me here all alone with Bobbert!!!!!AHHHHH!

What have you got against Bobbert? What did Bobbert ever do to you to deserve such scorn? I think that rather than fearing the connections to the outside world available to you, you should instead relish in them. I realize, accept and celebrate the fact that the only thing connecting me to anything outside my office is my computer. I rely upon it and without it, insanity would insue. Insanity is fun for the first half an hour but after that it just gets old.
I fortunately am free of the cubicle world although my desk is cubical furniture, I have an outlet to the the rest of the office (seeing as how I am the receptionist). But I dont' have a window and it is very dishartening to stare at the same paintings day in and day out. I can't wait until the Christmas break is over and I go back to working part time. But of course I'm not all that excited to start back up at school.
As to the "they" that you speak of. I can only say that I think that the insanity has reached you. I fear for you. Oh and what websites do you usually hit as you are surfing the net. My usualls are getting so old and I need some new ones to puruse. Oh and I need a good website for James Pics. My pics have been duelly overused as a desktop.

AHHHH! YOU are THEY?! I knew it! I knew it! Well not not "knew it" in the sense of having the slightest idea, but I knew there was something I didn't know!
Run for your lives! She's going to eat your soul!!!!!!
Oh, and here are the different websites I visit. I imagine that we visit the same ones. Wedonesque.com,buffyguide.com(this one is rarely updated)Vrya.net(which is the buffyverse dialogue database)Jamesmarsters.com,floor13productions(which is Tim's friends movie site...it is a little wierd but funny), Launch.yahoo.com (music videos...oh and if you go check out the George harrison music video of "I've got my mind set on you" cause it has a very young Alexis Denisof in it)ebay.com, Buffy.nu.(A great Buffy news site with all things that you can think of),Zombo.com(hahahaa! it really is a pointless website...but I think it is funny), I cant think of anymore at the moment..try these first. Oh, and I dont hate Bobbert...I love him more than most things!
